Weir - Dorothy Houston

Mrs. Dorothy Weir, 69, died Sunday morning in Grovemont Nursing Home at Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Weir, widow of Floyd D. Weir, formerly of the New Market area, had resided in Florida since 1960. She lived in Detroit prior to that. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Venice, Fla. Born Dec. 20, 1899 (98), she was a daughter of Thomas and Minnie Keeter Houston. Surviving are a brother, William Houston of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Offner and Mrs. Joseph Martin, both of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Ronald Case of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home here with Rev. Jack McDaniel, pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
